Qualification:-

Essential:

- MS Clinical Psychology from HEC recognized university 

Desirable:

-MS/PhD Clinical Psychology from HEC recognized university 

-Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology (ADCP) 

Experience:-

-Minimum two (02) years’ experience in counselling, research, psychological testing, delivering lectures, arranging workshops and training programs. Relevant work experience of four or more years is considered desirable.

-Emotional stability and objective assessments

-Social skills

-Computer Skills (MS Office and Internet)

-Personality assessment

-Ability to think and plan and contribute to the center’s operational/academic strategy.

-Ability to differentiate between day-to-day operational needs and long term university strategic goals.

-Physically fit to perform the duties pertaining to the position. 

Trainings/Certifications: -

-Certification courses in the field of Psychology and Counselling.  

Key Responsibilities:-

-Developing, guiding, and implementing the three main components of the Centre that are 1) Counselling, 2) Psychological Testing and 3) Organizing seminars, workshops, and presentation for enhancing the knowledge of students and faculty about psychological health. 

-Ensure compliance with all NUST policies, rules, and regulations.

-Ensure that the NUST’s interests in the execution of the Centre’s operations are always safeguarded.

-Be responsible for the smooth operation of the Centre.

-Provide opportunities for team building and capacity building activities.

-Facilitate, support, and collaborate with the GM C3A in the smooth and efficient functioning of the Directorate.

-Individual counselling of students/faculty/adm/technical staff of NUST for their personal/professional issues.

-Initiate, plan, and organize Group Counselling Programs. 

-Initiate, plan, and organize psychological health activities in line with NUST student’s requirements

through technical input in seminars/lectures/orientations.

-Publication of articles and brochures/leaflets at the Centre.

-Identify new areas/ topics as well as sample for Research work.  

-Identify needs of changing areas of counselling support and lectures at different schools of NUST.

-Evaluate effectiveness/impact of seminars/lectures by taking feedback. 

-Provide resources and advice to the Human Resource Department in the selection of officers and NG staff by being a member of interview panel.

-Provide resources and advice to the Professional Development Centre (PDC) in the formulation of various capacity/capability building programme and for training of officers and NG Staff.

Terms and Conditions:-

 * The last Education Certificate/Degree should be verified/attested by HEC.

 * Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons: -

     - 3rd Div in academic career.

    - NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and absence of NOC from the Head of Institution.

    - Medically Unfit. 

    - In the process of pursuing a degree.  

* Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed Forces, etc. may apply through their respective parent departments/organizations. 

 * Late/incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered/called for an interview/test and no TA/DA will be admissible.
