Qualification / Experience:-
- Master of Library & Information Sciences (MLIS) from HEC recognized university.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of experience as Librarian in any reputable organization.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Competencies:-
- keeping up to date with newly released publications in order to select library resources.
- Library Administration/ Organization.
- Knowledge of Staff work.
- Knowledge of library automation
- Demonstrate ability to recruit and retain high quality library staff.
- Physically fit to perform the duties pertaining to the position.
Key Responsibilities:-
- To work as Focal Person for HEC digital library.
- Liaison with Institution’s libraries regarding HEC digital library, funds issues, budget estimates, approval of books purchase cases, Libraries Statistics, searching of data bases & automation.
- Facilitate the development and updating of library databases and searching of e-data base.
- Liaison with P&D Dte regarding funds allocation head PC1.
- Process the institution’s libraries purchasing cases, recurring allocated.
- Continuing education of librarians / library staff.
- Dealing with enquiries and assisting library users in accessing ICT and other resources.
- Arrange appropriate resource material for research, and advice and assist in locating the right information.
- Deal official correspondence.

- Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).
- Last Education Certificate/Degree should be verified/attested by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than two years’ service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
