Preferably a Master’s degree from an accredited university or a specific certification in the field of media, communication, and report writing. At least 5 years of experience in advocacy, communication, and outreach activities at the national and/or international level. Extensive management experience (at least two years) with communication, branding and marking department in USAID projects. A deep familiarity with USAID policies and practices —particularly in the field of education—is an absolute requirement.
• Solid understanding of USAID policies and practices in communication within the Pakistani context, with previous experience with USAID in Pakistan strongly preferred;
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop relations with local counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders;
• Demonstrated innovation and success in staff and local partner capacity-building and in participatory, flexible, and gender-sensitive programming and implementation;
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Urdu and/or other languages local to Pakistan is highly preferred.
• Use of MS OFFICE to the proficiency level is expected.
