Qualification/ Experience
- MS CS /EE /MS Software Engg /MS IT System Management/ MS Computer Engg/ MIS from HEC recognized local/ foreign university/ institute
- Individuals having PhD Degree will be given preference
- Retired Armed Forces personnel (Brig or equivalent) with requisite experience are also eligible to apply
- 12 (Twelve) years of experience with at least 7-10 years progressive experience in managerial position
- Experience in development and management of large Networks, ERP systems, CMS and Databases
- Experience in IT Systems implementation, management and operations
- IT Project Management especially Software
Key Responsibilities
1) Develop ICT operational and development plans and ensure that they are synchronized with the operational requirements and strategic plans of NUST.
2) Oversee the planning, procurement, implementation and operations of Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure and services.
3) Ensure proper management of operations and maintenance of ICT infrastructure at H-12 Campus through the specialist officers / managers working in the ICT Dte.
4) Provide specialist advise to all NUST colleges.
5) Ensure that required Capex and Opex budgets are prepared to reflect the operational and development plans of the directorate.
6) Review and evaluate the IT Hardware and Network BW requirements from directorates and constituents of NUST and advise executive management accordingly.
7) Ensure coordination with Directorates and constituents on technical and others matters relevant to the operations and provision of ICT services.
8) Coordinate with Finance Branch for allocation of the forecasted budget.
9) Oversee and ensure that ICT policies and procedures (processes) are periodically reviewed, updated and issued.
10) Oversee the procurement process of ICT hardware, infrastructure, software and provide specialist advice to various users on various specifications.
11) Oversee the implementation of the policies and procedures.
12) Perform any other duty as assigned by the Rector/Pro-Rector (P&R).

- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than two years’ service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
