Qualification / Experience
- Completed article ship with reputable CA firm.
- Passed maximum exams of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Or
- ACMA/ACCA/CIMA.
5-8 years’ experience in relevant field.
(Key Responsibilities)
- Management of endowment fund as per policy.
- Liaison with related departments for compliance of fund allocation and disbursement as per approved policies/deed.
- Maintaining records of Inflow and outflow of funds.
- Preparation and submission of Budget Estimates.
- Keeping track of available budget limits.
- Verification of Bank Reconciliation Statements both manually and in ERP.
- Engage in preparation of meeting agendas and compliance of approved policies.
- Provision of Financial Data and summary to authority as and when required.
- Engage in regular financial market research including bonds, bills and other securities for investment.
- Work closely with financial institutions/investment analysts to assess & recommend financial information and investment opportunities.
- Coordination with financial institutions/authorize dealers for data/information regarding securities in trade (Secondary market) or participation/submission of SBP non-competitive bidding process (Primary market).
- Manage reconciliation of investment bank accounts and maintain record in books of accounts accordingly.
- Maintain an updated Investment portfolio.
- Manage annual audit of department as and when required by management.
- Reporting of Investment performance as per portfolio.
- Any other task as assigned from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES
- Proven experience in formulating and implementing efficient financial management systems and procedures to enable rapid and accurate reporting of relevant activities.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in modern financial management and accounting practices, relevant legislation and financial policies and procedures (e.g: IFRS etc).
- Strong knowledge of applicable Tax laws.
- Knowledge of Company & Trust laws applicable in Pakistan.
- Experience in investment portfolio such as: T-Bills/ PIBs/any other marketable securities.
- Thorough knowledge of investment policy statements, identifying return requirements and risk tolerance levels for investment management.
- Strong communication, written, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- General IT skills: Use of ERP systems (emphasis on financial modules), use of Microsoft office, email and Internet-based research.

- NUST employees with less than two years’ service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
