Master/Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/IT/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Equiv from HEC recognized Local/Foreign University. Retired Armed Forces Personnel having relevant qualification and/or experience may also apply.

Experience:

Significant executive leadership experience in planning, developing, operations and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure and Information Systems. Candidate who possess Project Management (PM) experience in implementing and managing transition of ERP systems would be preferred. The candidate should have the acumen to manage a team of skilled knowledge workers, be a team player and possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Provide technological guidance within the ICT Directorate.
•    Provide stewardship to technical tams and supervise operations of information system and communications network.
•    To collaborate with key functional and technical leaders across the University in the delivery of customer-service-focused technology solutions.
•     Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department.
•    Provide guidance and technical foresight required to Develop and implement, faculty and student focused, applications and services platform to serve the University in every aspect.
•    Provide strategic guidance in Designing, implementing, and maintaining access.
•    Participate in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for the university.
•    Oversees the day-to-day operations of the information technology department including directing managers, who support administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications and other information technology functions.
•    Asses and anticipate technology projects and recommend appropriate action and resources.
•    Propose hardware/software solutions to accomplish the university’s mission and objectives.
•    Ensure that the required Capex and Opex budgets and prepared to ensure the operational and development plans of the directorate.
•    Identify user needs and resolve problems.
