Job Description:
Qualification/Experience: - 

Essential 
- Bachelors / Masters (16 Year) in Social Science, Engineering / IT, Management with 05 Years [ORIC Administration] experience. 

Desirable
- Masters (18 Year) in Engineering / IT, Project Management, Engineering Management with 09 Years [ORIC + University Administration] experience. 



Required Skills: -
- Project Management
- Computer literacy with possible advanced MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Experienced in office management tools and software
- Experience in use of data to inform decision-making, planning, and performance monitoring
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of Research Eco-system and management
- Management of Sponsored Research Projects
- Strong management skills (Managing, motivating, and developing staff).
- Proactive decision making.

Key Responsibilities: - 

 a. Ensuring, at the administrative level, that sponsored research projects are proceeding smoothly according to the terms and conditions set inside the respective contracts.
b. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of all activities during the project life cycle and pointing out deficiencies in compliance for timely rectification.
c. Conducting research projects audits and its reporting to NUST management. Similarly, facilitating external auditors during their visits e.g., HEC, PSF. PARC,etc. 
d. Support during the execution of research projects:
1) Intimation for installments released by funding agencies
2) Follow up for Project progress and funds utilization reports
3) Processing hiring of RAs, changes in PI / Co-PI, etc 
4) Review of research projects deliverables and intimation for project closure
e. Coordinating with funding agencies and faculty members for research projects related activities e.g., reporting of periodic reports, releases of 2nd/3rd installments, project closure formalities,
f. Coordination with NUST HQ directorates for project related matters e.g., Finance Dte for funds releases, project closures, etc.
g. Acceleration of delayed projects for their completion
h. Handling all University Best Researcher cases from invitation of nominations, vetting, processing, approval, and Final award.
i. Handling all research exhibition and competition cases
j. Organizing different Steering Committee meetings. 
k. Conducting analysis of the state of research performance across NUST.
l. To organize funding agencies regular monitoring visits at NUST. 
m. Attending regular meetings with the funding agency related to the Projects monitoring and its reporting to the higher management. 
n. Organizing regular meetings related to NUST Funded Projects.
o. Hand on experience for submission of HEC ORIC Score Card data.
p. Having the capacity and experience of multiple years of Monitoring & Evaluation regarding Research Projects.
q. Maintaining and updating records of all of the above.
